Read this first: you never pay to use 10BestWeightLossMeds, and nobody pays a subscription to us either. The site's income comes from referral commissions — when a reader follows one of our partner links and becomes a customer of a weight loss provider, that provider sends us a payment. Your price does not change because you clicked our link. That commercial arrangement shapes which companies get covered here, and we repeat that fact in a banner at the top of every page that carries partner links instead of hiding it on this one.
Spotting a commercial link
Partner links on this site pass through URLs shaped like theaspirinstudy.org/recommends/brand-name before landing on the provider's signup page. Routing them through one internal path is ordinary affiliate hygiene: it keeps long tracking strings out of the articles and lets us swap a partner's destination without touching dozens of pages. Each of these links also carries the rel="sponsored" attribute, which is the standard machine-readable label that tells search engines a link is paid. As a rule of thumb: any button inviting you to visit a brand, see its price, or start its quiz should be treated as a link we may be paid for.
Where the money does reach
It reaches the table of contents. The pool of brands we research and rank leans heavily toward companies that operate affiliate programs, because those commissions are the site's entire budget. A comparison built this way is not a census of every weight loss provider in the United States, and we would rather state that limitation in plain text than let a "top 10" imply the whole market was surveyed.
Where the money stops
- Numbers on the scorecard. Every rating is produced by the fixed rubric published at How We Rank — the same weights, applied to the same public evidence, for partner and non-partner alike. A brand that pays us and has a terrible refund policy gets a review that says it has a terrible refund policy.
- Order on the list. Rank positions follow scores. There is no rate card for #1, and no partner has ever been offered one.
- Criticism. Documented complaints, surprise-billing patterns, and overstated marketing claims are reported and stay reported. Removing accurate negative material is not a service we sell at any price.
- The learning library. Articles under /guides/ carry zero partner links. When a guide points you toward a ranking page, that destination is monetized — and labeled as such when you arrive.
Brands that pay us nothing at all
Some companies reviewed on this site have no commercial relationship with us. We include them when a comparison would be misleading without them, score them with the identical rubric, and do not tag which reviews are "partner" reviews — because the analysis is supposed to be indistinguishable either way.
About the prices you see
Every dollar figure was checked against the provider's own published pricing on the date stamped on that page. Telehealth pricing moves constantly — promotions launch and lapse weekly — so the checkout price on the provider's site always overrides anything printed here. Spot a stale number? Report it and we will re-verify.
The deal we offer readers
No commercially funded publisher is free of conflicts, and we will not pretend to be the exception. What we commit to instead is process: disclosure banners on monetized pages, a published and auditable scoring method, negative findings that stay published, and a standing invitation to call us out if any page falls short of what this disclosure promises.
